Fire Sprinklers System

Sprinkler systems are an essential fire safety component that provides comprehensive coverage across multi-story and high-occupancy buildings. We can help with design, installation, and maintenance of wet or dry systems, as well as making extensions to existing structures safe.

We inspect all fire sprinklers for corrosion, damage, and correct operation. From the spray to the pressure rating, each sprinkler design serves a distinct purpose. Don’t neglect the yearly inspection or the five-year internal testing if you want great performance and longevity. Incorporate a backflow preventer into your sprinkler check routine. A backflow device prevents water from entering the central water system. Our first purpose is to keep the community safe. An expert 1st FPS technician is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

When to Inspect

  • Annual, Semi- Annual, Quarterly, Monthly or Weekly depending on AHJ, Insurance and NFPA requirements.
  • 5-Year Internal Pipe required every 5 years.

Process of inspection

  • Wet and dry sprinkler inspections are virtually the same with the exception of nitrogen dry pipe systems which may require nitrogen replenishment if repairs are needed.
  • 5-Year Internal Pipe will remove a section of pipe to identify potential corrosion and blockages. If blockage is severe, deficiencies are noted and re-piping is necessary.
  • Backflow Preventer testing is a separate inspection and may require more than one technician to inspect if the preventer is set below ground or in a confined space.
